Wise World Prep’s founder, Wes, formerly worked in the Harvard University Admissions Office, gaining inside knowledge at Admissions Committee selection meetings. He taught literature at Harvard for six years, winning the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. He and his counselors have advised hundreds of students, providing exceptional one-on-one guidance to help them achieve their dreams.
Wes graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from Harvard University in 1994. He was elected First Marshal (President) of his senior class and awarded the Francis Burr Prize for excellence in academics, athletics, and leadership. He was a John Harvard Scholar, Winthrop Scholar, and winner of the Kirkland House Spirit Award.
Wes rowed for the Harvard Lightweight Crew, twice going undefeated and winning the EARC championships. Upon graduation, he won the Michael C. Rockefeller Memorial Fellowship, which sent him to Ghana, West Africa, where he volunteered in education and medicine for one year.
Wes continued his studies at Cambridge University in England, earning a M.Phil in Social Anthropology in 2004. Having lived, studied, and worked on three continents, Wes has special expertise in working with international students.
